Hi guys.

Due to a prolonged silence on the posting front, I've decided to put up pictures of some of my painted models. Nothing great, and the picture quality is lousy, but hey, when is it ever not with me? I'll change the shots for better ones when I can find my parents damn digital camera...

Congratulations to everyone who got the exam results they wanted/needed! And for those who didn't do as well as they'd hoped, don't worry, you're not alone.

The watercolour I promised is half finished, and should be done as soon as I get my lazy ass off the sofa long enough to finish it.

I'm just frustrated with myself now. I never seem to get anything really done. I start out, but it either gets put on hold, or halted halfway, or never even started.

I guess procrastinators will rule, some day...

Hey everyone! I'm back in dreary old England. Ho hum.

Portugal was awesome! It was hot, and sunny, and there were loads of hotties on the beach wearing not very much! Also, we had a private pool in the villa we stayed in, the food was great, and the age limit for drinking is sixteen, so we went out a couple of nights and had a few.

Admittedly, it was so hot I nearly melted, one of my friends got mildly sunburned (nothing to bad though), and there were 50 year old men in speedos and 40 year old women sunbathing topless. Not so nice. Also, we were offered cocaine three times by different guys on the same night.

I'm sort of glad to be home now, I started to miss my own bed...

YAY! Finally, school holiday! 8 weeks of freedom! And as of today, 8 days until I go to Portugal with two of my friends for a week. They're gonna drive me insane, I can tell.

1. I'm a shameless yaoi fangirl (if you didn't already know that about me, you must live on Mars or something - I'm not exactly subtle)

2. I have random bouts of insomnia that last no more than two consecutive nights, and then my sleep pattern is screweed for near enough a week.

3. If I'm not really cheerful, I'm either depressed, ill, or bitchy.

4. I have a slight obsession with collecting things. Seriously, my bedroom is full of stuffed toys (mostly dogs or bears), porcelain dolls, and round stones from the beach.

5. I'm a complete wuss with horror films. Remember The Strangers? Generally considered the least scary scary film of recent times? Beaten only by The Village? Yeah, it scared me shitless. I had to look around corners for a week after seeing that, and I hid in ~Ryokothedark's chest/shoulder for half the damn thing.

6. I can't leave a bathroom or cook anything unless I've washed my hands three times. This is a fairly recent addition to my list of quirks, and I'mnot sure where it came from :S

7. My nails have to be painted on a regular basis. It just bugs me to see them bare.

8. It's 00:31, and I've been on the computer since 15:00, with a half hour beak at 17:00 for dinner. All I've done is watch a movie and read fanfic - where did the time go? :S

I know I'm not actually due an update to the journal for another few days or so, but whatever.

For the sheer hell of it, I tracked down what has to be the most god-awful fanfic on the face of the earth. Yes, thats right, the infamous My Immortal. (For those who haven't heard of it, you can read about it here: [link] or worse, read the actual thing here: [link]) Gave me a headache the first time I tried to read it.

I was debating whether to write something for it or not, like a spoof, or a piss take, but I can't quite figure out how to write something bad enough to do this fic justice Remember that the original has a girl that can jump "secxily" in front of a bullet fired from a "nife", and can get out of a hospital bed - sorry, a hospital COFFIN - suicidally, and you see what I mean. Can anyone actually explain that last one to me? How can it be suicide to get out of a hospital bed when the nurse (or "norse" as she says") said you can get up?

Also, I started watching Wolf's Rain. Anyone else seen it? Please tell me it's not one of those series I'm gonna regret watching, I've had too many of those lately...

I really like the show so far, but I'm a bit leery of the ending. I know how it ends (Yeah, I check a plot before I watch a show, so sue me), but I'm not entirely convinced about it.

Any recommendations for new anime/manga? I've sorta run out of things to watch and read...

Yeah, I feel totally cheated. I just finished reading Inkdeath, and now I miss the series so much, I'm gonna have to go and watch the movie, despite the fact that they made Dustfinger blond. I'm damn certain he was never blond. At least, not as blond as they made him...

I had my biology exam today, so I set my alarm for seven, so I'd have time to wake up (yeah, takes me a while nowadays), take a shower, and head up to the college in time for my exam that started at nine. Except...we went on a nine mile hike yesterday, in 27 degree heat. I burnt like a lobster. I NEVER burn. Anyway, coz of the burning, I didn't sleep too well, then woke up half an hour before my alarm went off. Got ready, and just as I'm about to walk out the door, the phone rings, and I can't leave for another five minutes coz I can't get my auntie off the line. So, now I'm rushing coz I'm gonna be late, and its gotta be 25 degrees out. Yeah, guess what? Turns out I wasted my time coz the exam was this afternoon, not this morning.

Sucks to be me, huh?

So, now I'm sitting in my study coz it's the coldest room in the house, reading rather scary Inkheart fanfic, coz the end of the series made me want fanfic, and somehow, I end up reading Inkheart slash. Who knew that existed? I didn't. I could have happily lived without it. But this fic is sorta good, and now I can't look at my books without thinking: "wow, that girl was right, they are so having it off!". I hate my head.

Well, at least the exam went ok
